AVCA -- Ferris State is still the lone Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) program ranked inside this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll. Ferris State (12-3, 7-0 GLIAC) improved to No. 6 up one spot from last week as the Bulldogs have won seven straight.
Ashland (14-2, 7-0 GLIAC) and Michigan Tech (12-3, 6-1 GLIAC) are both outside the Top 25 rankings in the other receiving votes category. AU has also won seven consecutive matches and sit at the top of the league standings along with Ferris. Tech's lone defeat in league action was a 3-1 setback to Ferris back on Sept. 15th. Michigan Tech will travel to Ashland on Saturday (Sept. 29), while Ferris will be on the road at Davenport and Grand Valley State this weekend.
