GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the first GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards for the 2018 season. The Dragons from Tiffin captured both lacrosse weekly honors with Tiffin sophomore midfielder Elle Hamilton earning GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week accolades, while teammate Tiffin junior goalkeeper earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Elle Hamilton, Tiffin
In a loss to No. 3 ranked Lindenwood, Tiffin sophomore midfielder Elle Hamilton put up one goal to go along with three ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers. In a come from behind overtime victory over No. 8 East Stroudsburg, Hamilton lead all scorers with five goals, including the overtime game winner. She also chipped in one assist, two ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Kat Schneeberger, Tiffin
In a loss to No. 3 ranked Lindenwood, Tiffin junior goalkeeper Kat Schneeberger recorded 13 saves to go along with one ground ball. Schneeberger help secure with victory over No. 8 ranked East Stroudsburg with an amazing 16 saves, including a save with one second left to take the game into overtime. She also picked up four ground balls in the victory.
