DU's Brayden Texer and AU's Brett Robinson, Claim GLIAC Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2019 men's soccer season. Davenport senior forward Brayden Texer earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while Ashland freshman goalkeeper Brett Robinson claimed GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brayden Texer - Davenport 

Texer came into this week without a goal but made up for it with three goals in two wins over. Purdue Northwest and Upper Iowa. He scored a goal and had an assist in 4-0 win over PNW and followed that with two goals in a 5-0 win over the Peacocks on Sunday.


DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brett Robinson - Ashland

Robinson kept two clean sheets in his first two collegiate starts last week in a 4-0 win over Upper Iowa and a 0-0 draw against Purdue Northwest. He made five saves on Friday against the Peacocks, then six saves in a 110-minute draw on Sunday against the Pride.
