ASHLAND, Ohio – Five Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's soccer standouts been named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region teams. The all-region teams are nominated and selected by the region's sports information directors.
Joining D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year Sean Rickey from Southern Indiana on the D2CCA All-Midwest Region first team are Bellarmine's Micah Linscott (MF) and Jonas Skulstad (D); Cedarville's Derek Braak (F); Indianapolis' Josh Mahon (D) and Alejandro Steinwascher (MF); Maryville's Christian Kjaersgaard (GK); Ohio Valley's Jorge Pradillos (F); Quincy's Aubrey Reis (F); Saginaw Valley's Omar Sinclair (D); and Tiffin's Kangni Gabianou (D), Abdoul Magid Sy (MF) and Ramiesh McKnight (F).
The All-Midwest Region second team is comprised of Cedarville's Carter Selvius (GK); Illinois Springfield's Rhys Wallace (D); Northern Michigan's Sam Popp (F); Ohio Valley's Juan Hoyos (F), Camilo Sarmiento (D) and Nicolas Ramirez (MF); Saginaw Valley's Azaad Liadi (F) and Michael Shaikly (MF); Southern Indiana's Kent Katzman (D). Eric Ramirez (F) and Colten Walsh (D); Tiffin's Malik Suleman (MF); and UW-Parkside's Leki Prpa (MF).
The 13 members of the All-Midwest Region first team will now be placed on the national ballot for All-America consideration. The All-America teams will be released on Friday, Nov. 30. The complete All-Midwest region teams follow.
