BAY CITY, Mich. - Lake Superior State senior center Cameron Metz (Grand Rapids, Mich./Northpoint Christian) and University of Findlay senior forward Greg Kahlig (Fort Recovery,Ohio/Fort Recovery) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.
GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:

Lake Superior State University senior center Cameron Metz averaged 21.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game to lead Lake Superior State to a perfect 3-0 record. He tied his career rebounding high with 19 points and 11 rebounds during a 93-71 victory over Illinois-Springfield, and scored a career-high 31 points to lead LSSU to a 97-89 victory over St. Joseph's. He was one of five double-figure scorers against St. Joseph's. Metz shot 74.3 percent from the field and was 10-of-11 (.909) at the free-throw line.

University of Findlay senior forward Greg Kahlig started his season with a bang, averaging 21.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in the #8 Oilers first three games. Kahlig shot 55.6 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from the three point line and 80 percent from the charity stripe in the three victories. The Preseason GLIAC "Player of the Year" recorded 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the Oilers 105-50 win over Marygrove, and then followed with 21 points, seven boards and four assists in Findlay's 96-68 win at Cedarville. Kahlig then poured in 30 points with six made three pointers in Findlay's 97-66 victory at Wheeling Jesuit.
