NORTHERN MICHIGAN WILDCATS ( 2-13 ALL, 1-11 GLIAC/7th)

2019 Northern Michigan Preview

The Northern Michigan University Lacrosse team kicks off their 2019 season and looks to build on the successes they made in their second season last year.

The Wildcats return the program’s first-ever All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, junior Graison Ringlever (Mattawan, Mich.), and will lean on her to lead the team’s offense. Ringlever was named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC last season after scoring 37 goals and dishing out seven assists. As a team, the Wildcats scored more goals in 2018 over their inauguaral season as well as more than doubled the amount of assists. The Wildcats also finished with more ground balls and even paced the GLIAC for portions of the season in shooting percentage.

For NMU, Head Coach, Emilia Ward, 14-43 in her career, returns to guide the team into their third year and will look to infuse a freshman class of 10 new faces into a group that returns nine starters from last season.
