GLIAC announces swimmers and divers of the week

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the 10th week of competition of the 2024-25 swimming & diving season. Grand Valley State swept the honors, with Matt Bosch, Lucy Hedley, Carter Wood and Macy Polasek earning recognition.  

MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Matt Bosch, Grand Valley State
Matt Bosch dominated Saturday’s meet against Wayne State University, winning all four events. He helped set a pool record in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:22.82. Bosch also claimed first place in the 100 freestyle (45.11), 200 freestyle (1:39.20), and 100 butterfly (50.09), leading the Lakers to a strong team performance.
WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Lucy Hedley, Grand Valley State
Lucy Hedley had an outstanding performance, claiming wins in the 100, 200, and 500 freestyle events with times of 51.94, 1:52.75, and 5:05.01, respectively, in the Lakers' meet against Wayne State University. Hedley was also part of the first-place 200 freestyle relay team, finishing with a time of 1:38.11.
MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Carter Wood, Grand Valley State
Carter wood snagged the win in the 1 mtr. Dive with a score of 309.23. He placed third in the 3 mtr. Dive with a score of 283.88.
WOMEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Macy Poiasek, Grand Valley State
Macy Polasek placed first for the Lakers in the 1 mtr. Dive with a score of 242.63. She then placed third in the 3 mtr. Dive with a score of 233.63.
