Junior setter Jamie Ashmore helped Grand Valley remain perfect in GLIAC play with two wins over the weekend. Ashmore averaged 13.50 assists, 2.50 digs, 1.17 kills, 0.50 blocks, 0.33 aces, and a .438 hitting percentage in the two victories. Jamie posted 40 assists, six digs, four kills, and hit .571 in a 3-0 sweep over Saginaw Valley State Friday night. She then tallied 41 assists, nine digs, three kills, two assisted blocks, and a .333 hitting percentage in the Lakers 3-0 win at Northwood. Ashmore’s ball handling efforts have helped the Lakers who currently rank first in the GLIAC in hitting percentage (.270)..
Megan Howard - Hillsdale

Senior libero Megan Howard was a key cog in Hillsdale’s defense this week, as the Chargers went 3-0 and took sole possession of first place in the GLIAC South Division. Howard had 32 digs in Friday’s 3-2 win over #10 Ashland, the second-most she’s had in a match this season and third-most digs in any match in her four-year career. It’s also the second time she joined the AVCA’s 30-dig club this season. She also had seven assists over the weekend, and averaged more than 6 digs per game, well above her season average of 4.88, which puts her among the top five in the GLIAC in that statistic.
