Junior outside hitter Lauren Reber helped guide Grand Valley State to a 4-0 record on the weekend at the Ashland Invitational. She averaged 3.89 kills, 2.67 digs, 0.44 blocks, and 4.56 points while hitting .368 on the weekend. Lauren started off the weekend by posted nine kills, two aces, and 12 digs as she hit .500 in a 3-0 win over Wheeling Jesuit. Reber came back to record 14 kills, seven digs, one solo and two assisted blocks in a 3-1 victory against #24 Northern Kentucky. Lauren then added 10 kills and four digs, while hitting .455 as the Lakers swept Lock Haven, 3-0.

Sophomore middle hitter Amanda Stefanski hit .417 over the weekend while leading the Eagles to a 4-0 record at the Ashland Invitational. Stefanski recorded 42 kills (just 12 errors) to go along with 19 total blocks. She posted 14 kills and a .571 hitting percentage, with four digs and two blocks in a 3-0 over Kentucky Wesleyan. Stefanski the tallied 10 kills, a .316 hitting percentage, three digd and seven blocks in a 3-0 win over regional foe Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.). For the week she averaged 3.5 kills, 1.17 digs, and 1.58 blocks per game. Stefanski entered the week as the GLIAC leader in hitting percentage and blocks.
