Senior Megan LaMothe avenged her 2007 NCAA Tournament loss to Grand Valley State’s Jenna Killips by winning last weekend’s No. 1 singles match, 6-3, 6-1. For the week, LaMothe was 1-1 in singles and 2-0 while paired with sophomore Weronika Lomacka at No. 1 doubles. LaMothe and Lomacka defeated Amy Ingle and Daniela Dimas of Ferris State, 8-6, and beat Grand Valley State’s Audrey Koopsen and McCall Monte, 8-1. For the season, LaMothe is 3-2 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, although she is undefeated when paired with Lomacka.
