Ashland University senior Chelsey Guerin led the Eagles to 2-0 start to the 2007 season with victories at Lake Superior State and at Michigan Tech. In Ashland’s 8-1 triumph over Lake Superior State on Friday, Guerin posted 6-4, 6-2 win over the Lakers’ Anais Molina at No. 5 singles. She then team with Christina Halicki for an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. In AU’s 6-3 victory at Michigan Tech, Guerin recorded a 6-0, 6-4 win over Heather Neff at No. 5 singles, then partnered with Halicki for a 9-7 at No. 3 doubles. Guerin’s efforts helped Ashland post the program’ first ever wins at Michigan Tech and Lake Superior State.
