GLIAC Women's Golf Athlete Of The Week
Ashley Smith - Grand Valley State University
(So, Plymouth, Mich./Salem)
  Sophomore Ashley Smith helped Grand Valley State to a second place finish in the Northwood Invitational and a first place finish at the Findlay William Bing Beall Fall Classic over the weekend. Smith shot a 153 (77-76) in two rounds at the Northwood Invite, tying her for eighth place overall. Ashley then won the individual title at the University of Findlay William Bing-Beall Classic as she fired a three-over par, 147, helping the Lakers win the tournament by 20 strokes. Smith recorded a one-under par 71 on Sunday and finished with a 76 on Monday.
