Katie Wysocky helped Michigan Tech to two road wins last week by averaging 21.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals. The 6-0 sophomore notched 20 points and 15 rebounds in a 65-59 triumph at Northwood on Thursday. She then backed it up with 22 point, eight rebound and four assists performance in a 77-71 win at Saginaw Valley State. Wysocky was 15-of-24 from the field and 10-of-11 from the free throw line during the week as she helped the Huskies push their winning streak to seven.
Sophomore guard Kristina Freeman led Gannon to a perfect 2-0 record last week with home victories against Findlay (72-56) and Ashland (75-74). Against the Oilers, she scored 15 points (10 in the 2nd half) while adding five rebounds and four assists. Freeman then tied a career-high 24 points, four rebounds, and five assists as she led the Lady Knights back from a 12-point second-half deficit against Ashland. She currently leads Gannon in scoring (15.7 ppg.) three-pointers (27) and steals (29) this season.
