Shalyn Beauchamp - Lake Superior State

Senior guard Shalyn Beauchamp scored a career-high 22 points, and added seven rebounds and seven assists to lead LSSU to an 87-76 victory over Mercyhurst on Saturday. For the week, she averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. She shot 40 percent from the field. Two days earlier Beauchamp scored 13 points and 7 rebounds in a loss to Gannon. For the season she is averaging 13.1 points along with 5.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists, which all lead the Lakers in their respecitve cateogories.
Kim Vargas - Gannon
(So, F, 6-0,Sterling, Va./Broad Run)
Sophomore forward Kim Vargas led Gannon to a perfect 3-0 record last week. Over the span of three games she averaged 22.7 points and eight rebounds. Vargas had back-to-back 25 point performances against Edinboro and LSSU which inlcuded 17 points in the second half on 8-12 shooting against Lake State. She leads the Lady Knights in scoring (15.8 ppg) and ranks second in rebounding (6.9 rpg). Vargas is shooting 57.5% from the field along with 54.5% from behing the three-point line.
