Katie Wysocky tallied 47 points and 18 rebounds in two Michigan Tech road wins last week. The 6-0 forward recorded 23 points, six rebounds and three steals in a 71-59 win at Mercyhurst last Thursday (Nov. 29) and followed that up with 24 points and 12 rebounds in a 76-65 victory at Gannon last Saturday (Dec. 1). Wysocky, who is averaging a double-double this season, was 18-of-25 from the field and 7-of-8 at the free throw line on the week. Wysocky leads the Huskies in points averaging 16.7 per gamet.
Sophomore center Brittany Tabron led Gannon to a 1-1 GLIAC week with 16.5 points and 11 rebounds per game while coming off the bench in both games. She recorded her second double-double of the season with 17 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against Northern Michigan including 10 points and 11 rebounds in the first half. She led Gannon in scoring against Michigan Tech with 16 points while adding seven rebounds. Tabron leads the Lady Knights in rebounding (9.2) and ranks second in scoring (12.4) through five games.
