Rachel Folcik- Ferris State

Senior forward/center Rachel Folcik guided the Bulldogs
to a perfect 2-0 mark in their own GLIAC/GLVC
Challenge this past weekend. Folcik averaged 22 points,
10.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in the two contests. She
netted a team-high 20 points and a game-best 10 rebounds along with five assists in Friday’s 77-69 triumph
over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. Folcik then recorded
a game-high 24 points, hauled down 11 rebounds and
dished out six assists as FSU topped Kentucky Wesleyan
73-69 to finish as the lone unbeaten team in the event.

Mercyhurst freshman Amy Achesinski averaged 22.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games for the Lakers this past week Achesinski made 24-of-26 free-throws on the week (92.3 percent) and added five assists, three blocks and a pair of steals, averaging 37.0 minutes per game. In a loss to No. 18 Northern Kentucky, Achesinski had her second career double-double, finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Against Tiffin, she recorded 24 points, going 12-12 at the free throw line. For the week, she also shot 56 percent from the field (10-18).
