Brittany Burkhardt - Saginaw Valley State

Freshman forward Brittany Burkhardt averaged 21 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in helping Saginaw Valley State to a pair of GLIAC wins last week. Burkhardt set a new career high with 33 points and also tied a career high with 14 rebounds in the Cardinals 69-51 win over Ashland on Saturday. Burkhardt scored 25 second-half points against the Eagles as she finished 12 -of- 17 from the floor. Burkhardt became the first Cardinal to win the GLIAC North Division “Player of the Week” award twice in a season since the 1998-99 campaign.
Hillsdale forward Katie Cezat helped the Chargers clinch the GLIAC South Division title last week with wins against Gannon and Mercyhurst. Cezat continued on her torrid scoring pace by averaging 26 points along with bringing down 11.5 rebounds per game. She currently leads the GLIAC in both scoring and rebounding with 22.9 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. During her four-week reign as GLIAC South Division “Player of the Week” she has averaged 26.3 points and 13. 4 rebounds per game in her last eight contests.
