      <description>Bay City, Mich.--The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the 2012 Fall All-Academic &amp; All-Academic Excellence Teams.  Criteria states the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, not a freshman or a first year transfer student.  All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49.  Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0.</description>

      <description>NEW ORLEANS &#x2013; On Wednesday, the U.S. Track &amp; Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its week six national team rankings for the 2011 NCAA Division II cross country season. Western State now holds the nation&#x2019;s top spot in both men&#x2019;s and women&#x2019;s rankings, taking over the men&#x2019;s top spot for the first time this year after defeating then-No. 1 Adams State at the RMAC Championships last week. Western State, Adams State, and Grand Valley State are in the top three of both men&#x2019;s and women&#x2019;s rankings.</description>

      <description>Bay City, Mich.--The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the 2011 Men's and Women's Cross Country Academic Teams.  Criteria states the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, not a freshman or a first year transfer student.  All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0-3.49.  Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative g.p.a. of 3.50-4.0.</description>
