GVSU Remains No. 2, FSU Drops to No. 9 SVSU No. 17, AU No. 23 in the Women's USTFCCCA Cross Country Top 25 Poll

NEW ORLEANS – On Wednesday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its week seven national team rankings for the 2011 NCAA Division II cross country season. Western State retains the lead after winning the Central region over Adams State.

* Western State retains the No. 1 spot for another week.
* New to the top 25 for the first time this season are No. 17 Saginaw Valley State, No. 18 Bloomsburg, No. 19 Alaska, and No. 23 Ashland.
* Reaching season-high rankings are No. 4 Alaska Anchorage, No. 6 U-Mary, No. 10 Midwestern State, No. 13 Pittsburg State, No. 14 Western Washington, and No. 20 Northwest Missouri, and No. 23 Ashland.
* The GLIAC and PSAC each have four teams in the national top 25, followed by the GNAC with three.
The NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, November 19, in Spokane, Wash.
