Lexington, Ky. - Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) teams are ranked in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Coaches Top 25 poll.  Grand Valley State University rose from 22nd to 18th in this week's poll. Hillsdale College is currently 10th in the poll and received two first-place votes this week. Northern Michigan University fell from 15th to 17th after a 2-1 week.

The Hillsdale College volleyball team increased its winning streak to 19 matches last week, earning 3-0 sweeps over Findlay and Ohio Dominican. Saturday’s win over the Panthers was the 300th in the coaching career of head coach Chris Gravel. It took him just a little more than four years to win 100 matches, with his 200th coming back in September 2006.

GVSU pushed its winning streak to 10 straight matches with a pair of four-set road wins at Michigan Tech and #15 Northern Michigan. The Lakers have now defeated three ranked teams (#1 Concordia-St. Paul, #11 Lewis) this season.

Last week, Northern Michigan went 2-1 to wrap-up the home portion of the regular season.  NMU went 11-1 at home for the regular season with the only loss being to Grand Valley State (Oct. 24).
