LEXINGTON, Ky.-- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce the 29th annual AVCA All-America teams for NCAA Division II women's volleyball. Hillsdale College sophomore outside hitter Ashlee Crowder (Jenison, Mich.) earned third team All-America honors.
Three other GLIAC student-athletes, senior setter Kait Harris of Saginaw Valley State University (Essexville, Mich./Garber), sophomore middle blocker Clara Leutheuser of Hillsdale College (Hillsdale, Mich./Hillsdale Academy), and junior middle blocker Rebeccah Rapin of Grand Valley State University (Saginaw, Mich./Nouvel Catholic) were named to the AVCA Division II Honorable Mention All-America team.
Crowder was a First Team All-GLIAC selection this year, after being named the 2008 GLIAC "Freshman of the Year". She was also named the GLIAC Tournament MVP in 2009, leading the Chargers to their first-ever conference tournament title. Her 491 kills were third-most in a single season in school history, and she finished second in the GLIAC in kills and kills per set. Crowder was named First-Team All-Region by both Daktronics and the AVCA this season.

athletes being honored for the first time. Headlining this year's
selections is Concordia University-St. Paul senior setter Maggie
McNamara, who earns her third-straight First-Team mention, and
fourth overall All-America nod. Joining McNamara are three-time
All-America recipients Pamela Cartagena (Pittsburgh State
University), Sara Hoffman (California State University, San
Bernardino) and Renata da Silva (California University of
Pennsylvania).
