Hillsdale College to Host 2009 GLIAC Volleyball Final Four
BAY CITY, Mich. - Hillsdale College, 2009 GLIAC Volleyball co-Champion and No. 1 seed in the GLIAC Tournament, will host the tournament semifinals and final at the Jesse Phillips Arena this Saturday and Sunday. The Chargers will host Ashland University in the second semifinal match on Saturday (5:00 p.m.), while Saginaw Valley State University and Northern Michigan University will square off in the first semifinal match (2:30 p.m.).The tournament championship match will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Hillsdale, regular season South Division Champ, reached the
semifinals by defeating Ferris State University, 3-1 (22-25, 25-15,
25-15, 25-15), at home on Wednesday.

The No. 2 seed, Saginaw Valley State, downed Michigan Technological University, 3-1 (22-25,26-24,25-14,25-14). The Cardinals claimed the GLIAC's North Division crown this season. [Recap]
Northern Michigan claimed the No. 3 seed by knocking off Grand
Valley State University in the quarterfinals,
3-0(25-22,25-21,25-18) . The Wildcats tied for second in the North
Division standings this season.

Ashland earned the final spot in the GLIAC semifinals by
recording a 3-1 (19-25,25-19,25-15,25-20) win over Wayne State
University in quarterfinal action. The Eagles placed second
in the South Division standings this season.
