Six GLIAC Teams Make NCAA D-II Volleyball Tournament Field

INDIANAPOLIS- The University of Indianapolis will host the 2009 NCAA Division II Volleyball Midwest Regional, announced Sunday night. UIndy (35-1) earned the top-seed in the eight-team regional after its 21st straight victory Sunday, a 3-1 win over Lewis in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship match.

The regional tournament will be hosted at the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center for the first time in school history. UIndy is making its fourth NCAA appearance, including its third straight. The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the finals, December 3-5, on the campus of a participating institution.

Match times for the regional will be announced Monday.

No. 2 Lewis vs. No. 7 Ferris State
No. 3 Saginaw Valley State vs. No. 6 Grand Valley State

Friday, Nov. 20 - Semifinals
Saturday, Nov. 21 - Regional Championship
