Grand Valley's Vermeer Named GLIAC Women's Swimming & Diving "Athlete of the Week"

Bay City, Mich.--Grand Valley State University's Kelsey Vermeer (Rockford, Mich.) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's swimming and diving athlete of the week as announced by the league office.

Freshman Kelsey Vermeer (Rockford, Mich.) has been named the GLIAC Female Athlete of the Week by the league office. Vermeer led GVSU to a 156-66 victory over Findlay in a league dual meet last Saturday (Jan. 16). Vermeer finished first in the 50-yard free (24.37), swam the lead 100-yard back in the 400-yard medley relay (59.53) and added a lead 100-yard (54.78) on the 400-yard free relay.
