Irie Dennis Named GLIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Bay City, Mich. -- Grand Valley State University Women's Soccer player Irie Dennis has been named the first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week this season.

  Irie Dennis - Grand Valley State

  (JR, Forward, New Albany, Ohio)

Dennis scored two goals and recorded two assists in the Lakers' first two games of the season. She notched the game-winning goal in Laker wins over No. 1 Tampa and Southern Indiana. She also picked up two assists in the 5-0 win over Southern Indiana. She has put all four of her shot attempts on net. The Lakers' 2-0 record and victory over previously top-ranked Tampa has earned them the No. 1 ranking in Division II.
