Grand Valley State and Ashland Finish in the Top 10 of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship
BAY CITY, Mich. -- The NCAA Women's Golf Championship was held at The Meadows Golf Course May 11-14 in Allendale, Mich. and won by Nova Southeastern with a total score of 1,157(+5). Two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) teams participated in the tournament both finishing in the top 10. Ferris State University had a student-athlete participate as an individual and earn a tied for 38th place.
Grand Valley State University shot a +85 1237 to finished sixth as a team, while being paced by two top 25 finishes. Junior Sarah Hoffman led the Lakers finishing tied for 15th with a total score of 301 (+13), while senior Allie Tyler shot a 304 (+15) to finish 21st.
Ashland University finished tied for ninth as a team recording a 1262 (+110). The Eagles were paced by junior Erin Misheff, Ashland's only top-40 finisher, who shot an overall score of 296 (+8).
Ferris State's freshman Jacqueline DeBoer, GLIAC Women's Golf Freshman of the Year, played in the NCAA Championship Tournament as an individual. She finished the tournament shooting a 28 over 316 which put her in a tie for 38th place.
