ATLANTA - The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), in cooperation with State Farm, announced the finalists for the 2010 State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. The 40 finalists, who are voted upon by WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team.

Michigan Technological University senior forward Katie Wysocky (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) and Northwood University senior forward Jodi Ostergran (Midland, Mich.) were named two of the five finalists from the Midwest Region.

Wysocky was named the 2010 GLIAC "Player of the Year," GLIAC Tournament "M.V.P." and earned a third-straight spot on the All-GLIAC North Division First Team.  She leads the GLIAC in rebounding and field goal percentage and is second in scoring this season. The 6-0 forward has turned in 23 double-doubles on the season and was recently named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team. Wysocky, who is Tech’s fifth-ever GLIAC "Player of the Year" and first since Andrea Novak in 2004, is the school’s all-time leading rebounder (1,172). Her 1,822 points are 35 short of the school scoring record. Wysocky also owns the second-most career double-doubles in NCAA Division II history with 59.

Ostergren is the first player in Northwood history to earn All-GLIAC honors three times in a career after earning Second Team honors in 2007-08 and First Team recognition in 2008-09. She ranked third in the GLIAC in scoring, averaging 16.9 points per game. Ostergren finished her career with her name throughout the Northwood record book, placing second in school history with 1,456 points. Her 455 points this season are the second most for an individual in school history while her 137 made free throws are the most in a season at Northwood.
