GVSU Teams Finish In Top-Five at 2008 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships
Bay City, Mich. -- The NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships were held Saturday, Nov. 22, in Slippery Rock, Pa. Grand Valley State finished in second place in the women's 6K race, while Wayne State and Ferris State finished in 12th and 17th positions, respectively. Grand Valley placed fifth in the men's 10K race as well. Wayne State's men matched the women's team with an identical 12th place finish, while Ashland's men finished in the 21st position overall. Hillsdale's Tim Jagielski (Camden, Mich. / Waldron), who competed in the event as an individual, finished 42nd overall, and was the No. 28 American runner, earning him All-American status.
The event was hosted by Slippery Rock University, and was held at Cooper's Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, Pa.
