Distance Runners Lead Lakers to Ninth Straight GLIAC Title

Findlay, Ohio - Grand Valley State had four runners score in each of the three distance events as they claimed their ninth straight GLIAC Indoor Track and Field title. The Lakers finished the meet with 199.66 points, which was 52.66 points ahead of second place. The nine straight wins by Grand Valley is the most that any GLIAC team has ever won. The NCAA Championships are in Mankato, Minn. on March. 14 and 15.

BAY CITY, Mich. — The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the men’s 2008 Division II All-Academic Track and Field Team on Monday. The team totals 109 student-athletes representing 44 different Division II schools. Six Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) teams managed to place individuals on this year’s team.
