WSU's Carly Sevald and Darrin Driesenga Named GLIAC Women's and Men's Swimming & Diving "Athletes of the Week," respectively
BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University sophomore Carly Sevald (Royal Oak, Mich./Mercy) and redshirt freshman Darrin Driesenga (Holland, Mich./West Ottawa) were named Great Lake Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's and Men's Swimming & Diving "Athletes of the Week," respectively, for their efforts at the Clarion (Pa.) University Diving Invitational last Sunday.

Sophomore Carly Sevald made NCAA cuts on both the one-meter (265.95) and three-meter (280.27) boards on Saturday at the Clarion Diving Invitational. Sevald finished third in both events.

Redshirt freshman Darrin Driesenga came in narrowly above the national cut in one-meter diving (285.45) on Sunday at the Clarion Diving Invitational. Driesenga was the top Warrior in the one-meter event, while placing fifth in the three-meter event (241.60)
