Wayne State Women, Lewis Men Lead After Day One of 2010 GLIAC Swimming & Diving Championships
DETROIT - Wayne State University women's and the Lewis University men's teams lead after the first day of the 2010 GLIAC swimming & diving championships.

Wayne State women lead with 178 points after day one on the
strengths of first place finishes in the 1650y freestyle, 3m
diving, and 200y medley relay. Sophomore Stephany Ekleberry placed
first in the 1650y freestyle, while junior Cassie Chetosky finished
first on the 3m diving board, and the WSU team of junior Sara
Franklin, junior Courtney Roberts, junior Anna Gonzalez Pena, and
freshman Ashley Corriveau won the 200y medley relay event. Both the
3m diving and the 200y medley relay results set new GLIAC meet
records.
Grand Valley State University women sit in second with 121 points,
followed by Ashland University in third with 53 points.
Lewis' men's team tallied 46 points after a first place finish in
the 1650y freestyle and a fourth place finish in the 200y medley
relay. Junior Kevin Coates recorded a victory in the 1650y
freestyle for the Flyers.
