AU's Chewy Vogele Named GLIAC Men's Swimming "Athlete of the Week"

Bay City, Mich.--Ashland's Chewy Vogele (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's swimming athlete of the week as announced by the league office.

Butterfly, Medley Relay

Ashland University sophomore Chewy Vogele (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:42.90 as the Eagles defeated Indianapolis 148-132 last Saturday. Vogele finished second in the 50-yard butterfly (23.65), and was part of the second place 200-yard free relay that placed a time of 1:26.01. He was also part of the second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay posting a time of 1:36.85.
