Findlay Retains No. 1 Ranking in NABC Division II Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The top two teams in the NABC/Division II pre-season Coaches Poll remain the same in the first regular season poll for the 2008-09 season, as Findlay and South Carolina Aiken retain those spots heading into Thanksgiving weekend. Findlay picked up wins over Indianapolis and Northwestern (Ohio) to open the season, while USC Aiken beat Wingate in its opener, then won two games at the Mount Olive Pickle Classic over the weekend by beating Barton and host Mount Olive to improve to 3-0.

Bay City, Mich.-- Ferris State University sophomore forward/center Justin Keenan (Grand Rapids, Mich./Ottawa Hills) and Hillsdale College senior center Tony Gugino (Holland, Mich./Christian) were named GLIAC Men's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week," respectively, by the Conference Office.
