Four GLIAC Programs Appear in Initial Men's Basketball Region Rankings

NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS -- Four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's basketball teams appeared in the first NCAA Division II Midwest Region Rankings of 2017 released on Wednesday (Feb. 15).

The GLIAC-leading Ferris State Bulldogs occupy the No. 3 spot in the region to pace the conference, while Findlay sits two spot back in the No. 5 hole. Wayne State and Lake Superior State hold down the No. 9 and No. 10 positions in the rankings, respectively. 

The Midwest Region includes schools from the GLIAC, the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). The GLVC holds five regional ranking positions, while the G-MAC is represented by Kentucky Wesleyan at No. 4.

The 2016 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament Selection Show will take place on Sunday, March 5th at 10:30 PM on NCAA.com. The Top 8 in each region will qualify for the postseason championships.
