Findlay Remains On Top of NCAA D-II Men's Basketball Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee has released this week's Division II men's basketball regional rankings.  The top 10 teams in each region are listed below for each of the eight regions.  NCAA.com will stream the men's and women's basketball show live on Sunday, March 8, beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

The University of Findlay, Lake Superior State University, Hillsdale College, and Grand Valley State University and are the GLIAC's representatives in this week's poll.

The top ranked Oilers earned three wins at home last week to run their regular season winning streak to 72 games inside Croy Gymnasium...Findlay defeated Central State University 87-69, won 88-54 over Ashland University and came away with a 77-50 victory against Tiffin University to end the regular season with a perfect 27-0 record...All-American senior forward Josh Bostic led the way after averaging 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 3.3 steals per game in the wins.  Findlay also defeated Northwood, 81-52, which clinched home-court advantage for them throughout the GLIAC Tournament.

By beating Northern Michigan 81-74 on Saturday, LSSU clinched its first 20-win season since 1995-96. This is the seventh 20-win season in the 63-year history of Laker men's basketball. By finishing 17-5 against league opponents, the Lakers also set a school record for GLIAC wins, surpassing their previous bests of 14-2 in 1977-78 and 14-4 in 1993-94...LSSU is making back-to-back GLIAC Tournament appearances for the first time since 2000-01 and 2001-02.  LSSU defeated Wayne State, 72-56 to in the GLIAC Quarterfinals to earn a berth in the GLIAC Semifinals.

The Hillsdale College men's basketball team recorded two blowouts of Tiffin and Ashland last week.  The Chargers werer victorious by scores of 96-54 and 89-63 over the Dragons and Eagles, respectively. 

The Grand Valley State men's basketball team suffered a 63-60 setback at Wayne State before defeating Northwood, 73-65. The Lakers defeated Ferris State in the GLIAC Quarterfinals, 67-49 to secure a spot in the GLIAC Semifinals.
