Ashland's Brenner to Receive National Football Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship

Cleveland, Ohio -- Ashland University senior Tom Brenner (Orrville, OH) is one of 10 college football players who will receive a postgraduate scholarship from the Northeastern Ohio Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
The 10 postgraduate scholarships are worth $2,000 each. They
will be presented at the Chapter’s 21st Annual
Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet on Monday, May 11, at LaCentre in
Westlake.
Brenner was a linebacker for the 2009 AU team that finished 9-4 and
advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. The
senior had a team-high 126 tackles (70 solo). He also led the
Eagles in tackles for loss (17-102), sacks (6.5) and interceptions
(4). Brenner was named second team All-GLIAC.
