Tiffin's Devin Rudulph Named to the Daktronics Baseball All-America Second Team

ROLLA, Mo. –  Tiffin University senior outfielder Devin Rudolph (Pickerington, Ohio) was named to the Daktronics Baseball All-America Second Team. Grand Valley State University sophomore outfielder Cody Grice (Lansing, Mich./Dewitt) earned Honorable Mention accolades.

A total of 45 student-athletes, representing 33 institutions were named to either the first, second or third team All-America squad, while 18 were named honorable mention. Members of the NCAA Division II College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) selected the All-America teams.

Rudolph was also named GLIAC baseball “Player of the Year” after his record-setting 2010 season. Rudolph, the NCAA Division II leader in batting average with a .529 mark, shattered the GLIAC and Tiffin records for season average. His .529 average eclipsed Tiffin’s former record by 59 points. He also led the GLIAC in slugging percentage and on-base percentage while also placing in the top five in hits, doubles, home runs, and runs-batted-in. Rudolph ranks among the D-II leaders in nine separate offensive categories, including ranking seventh in the nation in on-base percentage. He was twice named GLIAC “Player of the Week” this season.

Grice led the GLIAC in hits with 100 and finished second with a .455 batting average.  He ranked first in the league in total bases (146), at bats (220) and triples (5), was second in runs scored (66), and ranked third in the conference in on-base percentage (.506) and stolen bases (18).
