GLIAC Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete Of The Week
Alex Arestis - University of Indianapolis
(JR, Sprint/Freestyle, Larnaka, Cyprus)
University of Indianapolis junior Alex Arestis was part of five first-place finishes, winning three events and swimming legs of two winning relay squads at the UIndy Invite. He picked-up a pair of NCAA “A” cut time standards in the process. Arestis took the 200-yard freestyle in 1:40.47 and the 100-yard freestyle (45.63), giving him another NCAA automatic qualifying mark. He also won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of (21.58). He was part of the first place 200-yard and 400-yard freestyles, while earning second place in the 400-yard medley and 800-yard freestlye.
