Freshman forward Afrim Latifi led Gannon to a perfect weekend with home victories over Ashland (2-1) and Findlay (2-0), scoring the game-winning goal in both matches. He entered the weekend with two goals in nine matches, but then needed only two matches to score three goals. Latifi netted both goals during a 2-1 victory against Ashland, including the game-winner that snapped a 1-1 tie in the 64th minute. He needed only 8:56 to score the game-winner during a 2-0 victory against Findlay. Latifi now has 12 points on the season with five goals and two assists.
