Senior Ryan Johnson led Wayne State to a pair of first-place finishes on the opening weekend of the 2007 season. Johnson carded rounds of 72 and 74 (146) to claim medallist honors at the Northern Michigan Invitational. His efforts helped the Warrior squad record a team score of 596. Johnson went on to place ninth at the Northwood Invitational with a 149 (74-75). WSU took the event with a two-round team score of 593.
