Offensive Player Of The Week
Casey Gillin - Indianpolis
(SR, QB, 6-2, 220, Mooresville, Ind./Indian Creek)

  Greyhound quarterback Casey Gillin threw for a career-high 402 yards and four touchdowns to lead Indianapolis over visiting Hillsdale, 34-30 in a dramatic come-from-behind win. The senior signal-caller engineered three touchdown drives in the final quarter, including a TD pass with just 13.8 seconds left to erase a 16-point deficit in the game’s final frame. Gillin completed 33-of-49 passes, including 14-for-20 and three scores in the final quarter.

Derek Volmering - Saginaw Valley State
(SR, LB, 5-11, 230, Harbor Beach, Mich.)
  Senior linebacker Derek Volmering led Saginaw Valley State to a 44-7 win over Findlay on Saturday. He recorded nine tackles, forced two fumbles, and recovered a fumble, returning it 26 yards for a touchdown. Volmering helped the Cardinals force eight Findlay turnovers, including the first two interceptions that the Oilers have thrown all season. SVSU held Findlay to 177 yards of total offense and just 40 yards passing on five completions.

  Sophomore Bobby Slowik tallied Michigan Tech’s first punt return for a touchdown since 2001 with a 69-yard return to paydirt in the second quarter of a 40-12 win vs. Ferris State last Saturday (Oct. 6). The special teams score gave the Huskies a 19-0 lead. Slowik also scored on a 20-yard reception in the third quarter.
