Week 4 - GLIAC Football Players Of The Week

Offensive Player Of The Week
Mark Nicolet - Hillsdale
(SR, QB, 6-1, 220, Zionsville, Ind.)

  Senior quarterback Mark Nicolet set a Hillsdale College record with 426 passing yards, completing 29-of-42 passes for three touchdowns in Hillsdale’s 49-28 win over Ashland University on Saturday. Nicolet guided the Chargers to 567 yards of total offense in the contest and has helped HC post 150 points in its first three games, all victories. Hillsdale is off to its first 3-0 start since 1992, and defeated the Eagles for the first time since 2003.

Josh Miller - Saginaw Valley State
(SR, DT, 6-4, 298, Waterford, Mich./Mott)
  Senior defensive tackle Josh Miller led the SVSU defense for in tackles in a 24-13 win over Ferris State. Miller collected 10 tackles including six solos while helping hold the Bulldogs to 132 total yards and three points in the second half. The Cardinal defense also forced three turnovers in the fourth quarter. Miller recorded three tackles for loss and two sacks versus Ferris State. He has six and a half tackles for loss and five sacks this season.

Tyler Cattelino - Michigan Tech
(FR, PK, 6-0, 190, Houghton, Mich.)
  Michigan Tech true freshman Tyler Cattelino made his first made collegiate field goal count. The kicker drained a 48-yard field goal as time expired to give Michigan Tech a 43-41 win on the road at Northwood. In addition to the game-winning points, Cattelino average 56 yards per kickoff and gave the T’Wolves an average starting position of their 30.
