Redshirt freshman Dan Stiefel made his first career start a special one, throwing for 393 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 46 yards and another score as SVSU defeated #25 Hillsdale, 24-21. Stiefel found senior wideout Ric Cottengim for a team record-tying 96-yard scoring strike in the first quarter. He tied an SVSU record with 31 completions on the day his 443 yards of total offense fell just ten yards shy of a school record.

Junior defensive tackle Jake Visser led the Bulldogs’ defensive charge with an outstanding individual performance in Saturday’s 17-13 victory over Wayne State. Visser finished with a game-high tying 11 tackles (eight solo) and added 2.5 tackles for loss (-12 yards). He also had one quarterback sack (- nine yards), a pass breakup, a quarterback hurry and a fumble recovery as the Bulldogs posted their fourth winning season in the last five years. |

Northwood University junior place kicker Chris Kollias connected on a 41-yard field goal in the second overtime to give the Timberwolves a 45-42 season-ending victory over Indianapolis. Kollias also went 7-7 on extra point attempts to tally 10 points in the game. The 41-yard kick was the longest of his career. |
