Aaron Simpson - Northwood

Junior guard Aaron Simpson reached the 1,000 point mark for his career last week while averaging 22.7 points per game while leading Northwood to a 3-0 record. He added 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game while shooting 90 percent from the foul line (9-10). In the Timberwolves road win at Ferris State, he scored a game-high 22 points and added four steals. At Saginaw Valley, Simpson scored 21 points, connecting on five 3-pointers. He then finished the week by finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds and five steals against Rochester.

Tim Homan- Hillsdale

Hillsdale College senior forward Tim Homan played 76 out of a possible 80 minutes last weekend and scored a total of 43 points in Hillsdale’s two-game, two-day trip to the Upper Peninsula. Homan shot 7-for-15 from 3-point land in the two games, and committed just one turnover in helping the Chargers to their first win over Michigan Tech in Houghton in well over a decade Saturday. He posted 22 points, six rebounds, and two assists in the loss to Northern Michigan on Sunday. Homan currenlty leads the GLIAC in scoring at 19.6 points per game.
