Tim Strom - Michigan Tech

Senior forward Tim Strom tallied 37 points and 11 rebounds in two games to lead Michigan Tech to a 2-0 record at Minnesota Duluth’s Thanksgiving Classic. The 6-7 senior tallied 10 points and seven rebounds in a 62-58 win over UMD Friday (Nov. 23) before matching a career-high with 27 points in a 76-74 victory over Minnesota State on Saturday (Nov. 24). Strom, who has scored 20+ points in three of four games this season, was named to the All-Tournament team for his efforts. He currenlty ranks fourth in the GLIAC in scoring (19.5 ppg.).

Tony Gugino - Hillsdale
(Jr, C, 6-9, Holland, Mich./Holland Christian)
Junior center Tony Gugino was the catalyst for the Hillsdale offense in two games last week. He averaged 29.5 points and 9.5 rebounds as the Chargers went 1-1, playing two games in three days. He scored a career-high 33 points in Monday’s 78-76 loss to Indianapolis. Gugino poured in 26 points and tied a career-high with five blocked shots Wednesday against Albion. Gugino scored seven straight points in overtime to help the Chargers edge the Britons, 77-74. His 11 rebounds in that game were one shy of his career-high.
