Mario Mackey - Saginaw Valley State

Senior guard Mario Mackey made a half-court buzzer beater in the Cardinals’ 89-88 win over LSSU on Thursday. Mackey’s shot was part of a career-high 32-point night and capped off a 24-point second-half comeback by the Cardinals. He scored 22 of his points during the comeback, going 9-22 from the floor and 10-12 from the foul line for the game. Mackey tallied a game-high points 19 points with four rebounds and four assists in a 71-49 loss to No. 2 GVSU. For the week, Mackey averaged 25.5 points and 3.5 assists per game in two games.
Junior center Kyle Goldcamp led Gannon to a pair of GLIAC South Division road victories last week, winning at Wayne State (65-39) and Hillsdale (80-75). He scored a career-high 28 points while recording his third double-double of the season (12 rebounds) during Gannon’s first victory in Hillsdale since 2003-04. Goldcamp currently ranks second in the GLIAC and sixth nationally in field goal percentage (66.5). He leads the GLIAC in blocked shots per game (3.05), blocking at least two shots in 17 of 19 games this season.
