Jason Jamerson - Grand Valley State

Senior guard Jason Jamerson averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and shot 57.7 percent (15-26) from three-point land as GVSU opened the season with a 4-0 record. The Lakers went 3-0 at the Disney Classic and captured the Dedication Group Championship. Jamerson was named the MVP of the Dedication Group by averaging 19.0 points and hitting 12-of-20 three-pointers. He scored 15 points and pulled down nine caroms versus Columbus State, followed by a 20-point outing vs. Stonehill. He closed out the tourney by scoring 22 points versus Barry.

Division Player Of The Week
Lorenzo McClelland - Wayne State

Junior Lorenzo McClelland helped the Warriors to a pair of wins in the opening week of 2007-08 season. He led the team in scoring in both contests recording 22 points against Marygrove and 26 points vs. SIUE. He shot 60.6 percent (20-33) from the floor and 88.8 percent (8-9) from the foul line. McClelland grabbed 14 rebounds, had five assists and eight steals in WSU’s two home victories. He had 18 points, six rebounds and five steals in the second half vs. SIUE. Over the two games, he averaged 24 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
