Senior second baseman Justin Randall helped Ashland secure the No. 1 seed in the GLIAC Tournament by hitting safely in all six games last week. He led the Eagles to a road split at GVSU by going 5-for-13 (.385) at the plate with three runs scored and five RBIs. He posted a .571 average in AU’s six games last week with six RBIs and five runs scored. On the year, Randall ranks third in the GLIAC with a .430 batting average, while his 16 doubles ranks tied for second in the league. He has struck out just twice in 149 at bats this season.
Scott Schlaff - Saginaw Valley State

SVSU senior Scott Schlaff saved two of his best outings this year for last as he went 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA in wins over Wayne State and Hillsdale. Schlaff dealt a one-hit shutout against the Warriors on Wednesday in game one and followed that with eight innings of one-run ball against the Chargers in game one on Sunday. For the week, Schlaff went 16 innings and allowed seven hits while walking two and striking out 14. Schlaff also broke the SVSU all-time strikeout mark against Hillsdale and now has 274 career punchouts.
