Joe Luli - Mercyhurst

In six games last week, Mercyhurst senior outfielder Joe Luli drove in nine runs and hit .529, going 9-for-17 at the plate. He also recorded two doubles and one home run, which gave him a team-leading five on the season. He recorded at least one hit in each of the six games and helped the Lakers to a 4-2 record on the week. In two games against Ashland, he went 5-for-6 with five RBIs. He also drove in the Lakers only run in a 1-0 win over Northwood Sunday. On the week, he posted an .824 slugging percentage and a .619 on-base percentage.

Steve Grife - Mercyhurst

Mercyhurst sophomore Steve Grife tossed a pair of complete game gems last week. He finished the season by allowing just one run in his last two starts, stricking out 17 batters while walking just one. Against Ashland, he allowed one run on five hits, struck out five and walked one. Against Northwood, working on three days rest, he fanned 12 batters, not allowing a run or a walk as he logged his fourth-straight complete game victory, his third double-digit strikeout performance and his second shutout of the season.
