Redshirt freshman Michael Wiseman batted .478 (11-23) and posted a slugging percentage of .783 as the Warriors went 6-1 last week. He collected 11 runs-batted in and 11 runs scored, with five walks. Highlights for the week included a 3-for-4 performance with a home run and five RBI in Wednesday’s 13-5 win over Saginaw Valley State, and a 3-for-3 output with two doubles and four runs in Friday’s 10-9 comeback win against Grand Valley State. Wiseman ranks ninth in the GLIAC with 32 RBI and eighth with 18 walks this season.

Matt Schultz - Ashland

Junior Matt Schultz help Ashland to post a 5-1 record in GLIAC play last week by throwing a complete-game four-hitter in a 6-0 win at Mercyhurst on Wednesday. The righty walked one batter and struck out five Lakers. Schultz also tossed four innings of three-hit ball in AU’s 22-3 win at Gannon on Sunday. In 11 innings for the week, he allowed just seven hits and no runs, striking out seven. Schultz currently ranks second among Ashland pitchers with a 4.53 season earned run average and 45.2 innnings pitched.
